iPhone 3G U.S. Pricing
Here in the US AT&T will charge you $199 for the 8GB iPhone 3G and $299 for the 16GB model. With the cheapest voice plan starting at $39 for 450 minutes. You would have to pay an additional $5 for the previously included 200 SMS mesages. You will have to pay $20 to get unlimited messaging. The consumer data plan starts at $30 a month and $45 for business users, on top of the voice and SMS costs.
There is also no at home activation, you now have to get your phone activated in store, this takes about 10-12 minutes to complete which probably means that there will be very long lines on launch day. So, unless you plan on getting there when they open and are first inline I would plan on going in after it launches. To get the new 3G iPhone they require you to sign a two year contract. So with all of that the new iPhone 3G will cost you $160 more than the orginal iPhone in the long run.

I envy you US citizens… I don’t even want to know how much Rogers/Fido is going to charge us Canadians…
Well every blog owner deserve a little admiration. Nice post, grazie.
