After a bit of drooling by Mac users, AMD has now released the ATI Radeon HD 3870 card for Mac & PC. According to AMD, the card is optimized for use with Apple’s Mac Pro systems and brings the noise and the funk with 512MB of GDDR4 RAM, 320 stream processors, PCI Express 2.0 support and twin dual-link DVI ports for when you need to rock both of your 30-inch Cinema HD displays.

When it launches in about a month, look to have an extra $129 in your pocket so you can grab one fresh off the line. Check the link below for a full list of specs.

iPhone 3g on o2

UPDATE: I spoke to a very helpful member of staff in the Headingley, Leeds o2 store today, who confirmed that existing customers will get same prices as new customers but will need to get the iPhone 3G online, you need to go to www.o2.co.uk/iphone and register your interest. He also said he’s hoping we’ll get the units on the day via courier, sweet!

As Chris has already reported Apple have announced the 2nd version of the iPhone, the iPhone 3G, which will be available in 22 countries on July 11th and of course the UK is one of those 22, I know some of our UK readers will be saying ‘about time we got something at the same time as the US!’

What I want to do in this post is look at what o2 are offering in terms of the iPhone 3G pricing and their contracts, as yet we don’t know any confirmed information about the Pay & Go offering but rest asured we’ll bring you the news as soon as we know! (more…)
