If Mobile Me were really new then you'd have a very good point Odo, but it's not. How much more of a beta period do you need than years of .Mac? In an interesting twist of Irony, with the exception of the web apps, the other new stuff seems to work the best, the iPhone actually does push and it actually seems to work!

Why even bother to call it a polished turd. How about an unfinished turd. Give Apple a couple of more months to get it working properly. It's not like it's something that can't be fixed. I doubt any product or service that comes out doesn't have some teething problems. If you are getting free access, then you're not paying for it. Give Apple plenty of feedback and maybe it will get fixed sooner.

Of course you can always chuck your iPhone, get a BlackBerry and sign up for a six client BlackBerry Enterprise Server package for about $500. I hear it's perfect except when it goes down from time to time.

I'm pretty sure MobileMe killed my ability to log into my work laptop while I was out of the country. I sure didn't see that coming and as odd as it seems the issue did not seem coincidental.

Apple Canada came to my rescue and they were perplexed why my user account "short name" got changed to "MobileMe user short name, and would not recognize my original computer login password.

Even after getting administrative rights I could not log on unless the administrator was logged on. We finally had to copy over my old information to a new account.

A few free months of service is a nice gesture from Apple, but I want reliable service, not an extended beta program that I'm paying for.
