Thanks for having me on the show! It was great to give my opinion about how the mobile landscape is shaping up.
Thanks for joining us Nicholas, was great to have you.
I love the International Mac Podcast, but I felt this episode was very poor. WP7 has been a sales flop and I felt the guy promoting it was living in cloud cuckoo land. Nokia sales and profits were growing 12 months ago. By jumping into bed with Microsoft Nokia has seen both marketshare and revenue plummet.
I also didn’t care for the dissing of Blackberry. Their sales are up in England (3 handsets in the top 10 this month) and much of the rest of the world. It still has a world Markeshare of 17% while (even according to Microsoft) WP7 is effectively at 0%.
However, IMP is a must hear for me. I enjoy it tremendously.
Thanks for the feedback, Avro,
Remember everything that’s said on the show is personal opinion. For example, everyone on this panel doesn’t care for BlackBerry and stated as much, and IMHO the only reason RIM have marketshare in the UK is because of the pathetic number of teenagers who get drawn in by BBM.
You’re right that WP7′s market share is not great, it’s sad in a way because it is a better platform than many others in a lot of ways, but I think the best way to sum up WP7 right now may be ‘too late to the game’.
Anyway, great to hear most IMP content is enjoyable for you, we’ll be the first to admit not every show will be to everyone’s taste.
