This was a great podcast guys! I loved it. I plan to use my imac 27″ to try out the ibook author after taking one of my one-to-one classes at my local apple store (got these with my new 2011 mac)!
That was the best part of the show – the real time (even if we couldn’t see it that’s ok I was jogging and listening) testing out of the features was fantastic. I loved it all. I’ll have to listen again!
On the US school – K-12 grade – parents do not pay for text books , the taxpayer does. You can call it the school pays but the taxpayer pays. In college – the student pays for the books (but the taxpayer subsides the universities!!). I think this makes ibook2 and ibook author much more readily accessible in the USA – which is all I know about – for a) free distribution in a closed environment like a church, a school study group or anything that the politicians can’t get their hands on! AND for publishing cookbooks, or “my first book” like you demoed on line. I will have to do the PDF version of ibook author because I don’t own an ipad or iphone – my eyesight doesn’t support those and I HOPE HOPE HOPE (PRAY) that apple clues in and offers ibook2 and itunesu for the imac and macbook.
Thanks again – it was a lovely show!
