According to analyst Shaw Wu from American Technology Research, the next version of Apple TV that comes out will include DVR functionality.

Let me take a moment here to say: DUH!

Doing this would bring the Apple TV from a plaything that most people overlook, to a device that would give Apple a huge bump in the general consumer market. It would also give El Jobso and Co. a new way to generate income, a la Tivo’s embedded ads.

Again, I say: DUH!

Today, MCE Technologies announced the immediate availability of it’s Bru-ray internal recordable for Mac Pro’s and PowerMac’s. The drive is compatible with all DVD and CD recordable media including DVD±R/RW + Dual/Double Layer, DVD-RAM, and CD-R and CD-RW.

The MCE Technologies Blu-ray Internal Recordable Drive ships with Toast 8 Titanium and includes a 25GB Blu-ray (BD-RE) rewritable disc for instant storage. This can all be yours for the bargain basement price of just $699!

A while ago, the crew over at EFiX promised a wicked little chunk of hardware that installs OS X on any PC (sort of). Well, now EFiX has put up a product page which includes some specs on the desktop version of this little monster.

The page comes complete with broken links and a more than confusing description of the end of the world as we know it. Enjoy!!

QuickerTek has introduced it’s latest Apple charging product, this one powered by the sun, called the Apple Juicz. Coming in versions for all three MacBooks (Original, Air and Pro), the charger harnesses the sun through solar panels in a foldable and flexible cell array.

The 18 watt version will charge the Macbook Air in about 14 hours; the 27 watt which will do the same in about 8 hours and the 55 watt which can knock it out in about 5 hours. The biggest downside, so far, is the price tag. The three different versions cost $500, $600 and $1000 respectively. Click the link below to check out the full Macworld article.
