So, because I have been feeling that there’s more that I can do to get involved in IMP, I’ve decide to start this little bi-weekly “column”, in which I’ll basically review an iPhone application. Just so that everything is clear, this isn’t a “Pick of the Week” a la MacBreak Weekly, it is simply a (hopefully) informative review. Sometimes I’ll love the app, other times I may hate it. It’s just me giving my opinion on any given application. So, I’m going to start off these reviews with one of the first applications announced for the App Store, Super Monkey Ball. (more…)

A new version of Apple’s iPhone software could provide to iPhone and iPod touch users with access to their home computers entire itunes library. This can be done anywhere without having to first download those media items through a traditional sync. (more…)

VoiceDial

For quite some time there has been a jailbreak app that allows fairly consistent voice dialing. HOWEVER, if you kept your Iphone on the up and up (under threat of death and dismemberment from Darth Jobser and crew), there is now a voice dial app hitting the store that brings the noise and the funk.

Everything went wrong for O2 today. With the iPhone 3G launch being the biggest day in the little phone companies life, well almost, and for most customers everything went wrong. Claiming unprecedented amount of customers wishing to purchase an iPhone, most Carphone Warehouse and most O2 Stores had limited supply of iPhones with some Carphone warehouse stores stocking one lonely 16GB model.

Hi all, hope you’re all excited about the iPhone 3G launch on Friday 11th July (tomorow as I write this). I just wanted to write a quick post to let you know what’s happening with live coverage from an IMP point of view.

I personally will try to stream from about 6am GMT from the o2 store in Leeds, if I can get wifi etc, but I’d also like to mention our friend from the Apple Review Cast, John Meyer, who is in New York and will be streaming from 2am EST over at www.mogulus.com/applereviewcast he and his cohorts will also be doing a giveaway of 20 iPhone 3G invisible shields, so definately worth a look.

I’ve asked the rest of the team to update this post if they are going to be doing any streaming, so watch this spot!

Coldplay the Number 1 Fathers day present of the UK this past week has also been a popular hit in the US. The band at the current pinciale of the UK Top 40 with their single Viva La Vida and their album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends both number 1.

The band has also overtaken Jack Johnson on the iTunes music highway with a suspected 275,000 digital copies being loaded onto peoples iPods across the atlantic. It holds the number 1 spot on both sides of the pond which is a testament to the power of the iTunes ad. If you haven’t seen it click to read on and find out more about it. (more…)

Australians can guess what iTunes has in store for them despite Rolf trying to convince them otherwise. The store has become the latest in the iTunes worldwide TV take over to have some of the countries hottest television networks listing their shows in the store.

Some of the shows include Aussie fave’s like Sleek Geek and We Can Be Heroes. They also have shows exported from the US over to our friends in the land where the toilet flushes the opposite way ( I won’t say backwards to be PC ).

If you are in Oz hop (kangaroos geddit!? ) (Sorry) onto iTunes and stock up on some iPhone loving shows to sync with the device when it hits the stores in the first weeks of July.
