Steve is not dead. Steve is not dying. Steve is not leaving Apple forever. Steve is not even leaving Apple. Steve is not Apple. Apple has done perfectly fine with Tim Cook before. If Steve does leave Apple will not collapse. All the media attention is not helping Steve. All the blogger attention is not helping Steve. I apologize for contributing to the attention. It needed to be said. Thank you.
My topic is GTD, right? Right. Everyone in Tech knows what GTD is, right? Maybe, probably not. Everyone in Tech knows all about GTD? Wrong. GTD is not a universal concept. Even if every techy knew what it meant, GTD is not only for techies. Out of this is born my series of GTD Essentials: one concept per post of GTD reasoning, methods, terminology, etc.
This time I’m focusing on a pretty simple one. This is one of the big ideas GTD revolves around. (more…)

This is also the reason against the iPhone Nano, in a sense. (more…)
Keaton’s Apple Product Ideas for 2009
It’s that time of year again where every blogger and their grandma’s dog’s cousin blogs about their predictions for Macworld. This year, as always, they all seemed to have reached the exact same conclusions, this year being details on Snow Leopard, a new Mac Mini, and maybe a new iMac or iLife. The problem here is that every one of them is attempting to be correct, guessing only the most predictable, plausible, and likely announcements.
That’s great, Mr. Future-NY-Times-Columnist, unfortunately, it’s boring to read the same boring things over and over again. Here is my list of new products apple could (but most likely won’t) be released in 2009, and why they might be good ideas. (more…)
