Will Gets Things Done with Writer.app

Today I have for you something that is closely related to what I talked about last time. That connects well into the other announcement I have to make, so I’ll leave you at a cliffhanger. (Yes, they’re on my mind because of the 7th Son trilogy by JC Hutchins. You should really listen to all three, and/or go to 7thsonnovel.com for all that and more, including some fan fiction. Plug over.)

Anyway, back to me. You may have noticed that Keaton, the stealer of all my ideas as it appears, has had a theme to his blog posts. Yes, I know there have only been two, but they had a theme. Keaton’s area of expertise is opinion, he has his “Keaton On:” segment, and now I will have my own. The grand title: “Will Gets Things Done.” Yes, I am about to become one of those GTD freaks. Don’t worry, though. I’m the kind that loves to tinker with new workflows, so it won’t be all about how my way is the best way. (more…)

Write… Or Else! Using Write Or Die

Posted on Friday, November 14, 2008 by | 1 comment

This is my first post for IMP, so I figured that it would be fitting to write about something to do with writing (about something to do with writing about something… you get the idea.)

I found a really cool website today! I should probably tell you where I got it, but the problem is that I don’t remember and due to the nature I can’t go look it up now. You’ll see why in a sec. I’ll probably put it in “in post.” (more…)

1st Gen iPod Touch Still a Winner

Back in September, Apple announced new iPods, including a new iPod Touch. Despite the hardware upgrade and a price cut, the refurbished 1st generation iPod Touch is still a good choice.

Since I started iPhone development, I wanted a physical device to test my software on. So I started saving money for an iPod Touch. Once I had about 180 USD, the choice between getting a new 2nd Gen Touch, or a refurbished 1st gen model came into play. (more…)

Enigmo Review

Ok let’s start off the review with what the game is…

This game was created by Pangea Software Inc – the guys who got me into games and through my first 6 grades. Well they’ve come back to port over not one but 2 of the games I grew up with however, this review is to talk about Enigmo. Enigmo is a puzzle game where you have to get 40 water droplets into that looks to be an urn. The puzzles become more difficult as more coloured water droplets are added in. You are given a limit to the stuff that you can use to create the puzzle In total there are 50 levels with over 300 downloadable levels that are user created.

iPhone App Review: Super Monkey Ball

Posted on Thursday, September 11, 2008 by | 1 comment

So, because I have been feeling that there’s more that I can do to get involved in IMP, I’ve decide to start this little bi-weekly “column”, in which I’ll basically review an iPhone application. Just so that everything is clear, this isn’t a “Pick of the Week” a la MacBreak Weekly, it is simply a (hopefully) informative review. Sometimes I’ll love the app, other times I may hate it. It’s just me giving my opinion on any given application. So, I’m going to start off these reviews with one of the first applications announced for the App Store, Super Monkey Ball. (more…)
